Saying Goodbye to India after Our Summer Trip

That is how the window looked as our flight pulled out from Chennai.

It was pouring.

Not just outside.

Inside too.

The boys and me cried a lot as the flight took off from Chennai.

We were so loved and so cared for by family and friends.

We received so many hugs and so many kisses.

We said so many joyful hellos and so many tearful goodbyes.

We ate so much food cooked out of love.

We traveled all over via bus, taxi, car, flights and trains.

We had family and friends waiting for us at road sides, train stations and bus stands.

We were picked up and dropped off with so much care.

We saw so much beauty in people’s hearts and in beautiful TamilNadu.

We had such a great time in India. Short. But incredibly sweet.

Thank you to all of our family and friends who made it such a great trip. I’ve already been looking at Cheap Flights so we can go back!

Dear India, Here We Come!

It has been 4 long years. So much has happened on both the coasts.

I am finally packing the bags and getting the boys ready.

Dear India, here we come.

So excited at the thought of meeting friends and family.

Message me if you will be in Tamil Nadu (Chennai or Tiruchy or Tiruneveli) this summer.

Post Note:
Thank you for all messages, emails and phone calls. Overwhelmed with all the “have a good trip” and “welcome home” messages.

What made me laugh the most is all the comments and messages and queries about how many pictures I will clicking during the India trip. Here is my response borrowed from Tamil poet Kannadasan – “which beauty can we carry in which eyes?”

The number of pictures I am planning on capturing is going to be immaterial.  No matter what I do and how much I try, I can never capture the beauty that is  India.

Is that not true?

The only thing I am going to do is to experience each moment as it unfolds before my eyes.

Thanks again for all the warm wishes.

The World is a Book, and Those Who do Not Travel Read Only a Page

We have had a busy schedule since the year started.

It is finally spring break!!

So, we are out of the house.

I am hanging with my 3 bad boys on this beautiful beach.

There is something to be said about the learning that happens on a wide beach.

The sound. The smell. The sight.

Of the ocean. And, of sheer fun!!

The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page.
