On Him Growing Up

Days turn into nights,
nights turn into days.

They come and they go,
Rather predictably and cyclically.

School years starts turn into school years ends,
School years ends turn into school years starts.

They come and they go,
Rather predictably and cyclically.

Winter turns into Spring,
Spring turns into Summer,
Summer turns into Fall,
Fall turns into Winter.

They come and they go,
Rather predictably and cyclically.

In the midst of all that predictably and cyclicalness,
I stand in utter awe of how nature and nurture are turning this wonder of a baby into a fine-&-refined young man.

And, how grateful I am to know and to feel,
that I am a very minuscule part of this grandiose life as it unfolds, right in front of my eyes.

Life…..so predictable and so cyclical…..
yet, not so predictable and not so cyclical,
blooms, grows and takes form in unpredictable and uncyclical ways.

Right place at the Right time with the Right person

Daddy always tells me that if is OK if you screw it up. You just have to make amends and get better.

For several years of life, I couldn’t pick up the boys after school.

So, this moment…when the boys walk out of school…and I am there…to spot them…to wave….to do something crazy with my face or voice and make them laugh…to pick them up….this moment… so precious.

You would only understand this precious moment…if you have been there, and enjoyed it…or if you wanted to be there, but couldn’t.

Anyways, I am beginning to get my act together.

I find myself in the right place at the right time with the right person.

How about YOU?
