Enjoy the Rare Solstice FULL MOON Tonight

A solstice is an event occurring when the Sun appears to reach its most northerly or southerly excursion relative to the celestial equator on the celestial sphere.

Today, Dec 21, 2018 marks the winter solstice. Not only that. It is all a glorious full moon. This is a very rare occurrence and won’t  happen until the turn of this century.

Since this day marks endings and new beginnings, I am going to be reflecting on 2018 and making plans for 2019.

You do the same. Enjoy the moon.

Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening – Robert Frost

Whose woods these are I think I know.

His house is in the village though;

He will not see me stopping here

To watch his woods fill up with snow.

The little horse must think it queer

To stop without a farmhouse near

Between the woods and frozen lake

The darkest evening of the year.

He gives his harness bells a shake

To ask if there is some mistake.

The only other sound’s the sweep

Of easy wind and downy flake.

The woods are lovely dark and deep.

But I have promises to keep,

And miles to go before I sleep,

And miles to go before I sleep.
